Cheshire residents are benefitting from two brand new swimming pools, following the closure of older swimming sites in the county.
World Leisure UK worked with Cheshire West Council to deliver the swimming facilities at Northwich Memorial Court and Ellesmere Port Sports Village, both operated by Brio Leisure.
In Northwich, World Leisure UK installed a 25m six-lane community pool with a 13 x 8m learner pool. The learner pool features a moveable floor and a water flume, which were both supplied by Malmsten of Sweden and fitted by Hydrosport. World Leisure UK carried out the structures, finishes and filtration, as well as the spa, steam and sauna.
Ellesmere Port Sports Village features a 25m eight-lane county competition pool and a 12 x 7m teaching pool. World Leisure UK partnered with Malmsten again to provide a fully automatic Omega competition timing system through HS Sports.
Simon Smith of World Leisure UK explains: “The plant room was tight, so we opted to install a fully automatic regenerative filtration system called Filtrex which came in from America.
“The pool pumps were all Armstrong Starbloc pumps, ProMinent dosing systems, Aquaden strainer baskets, and manual and automatic valves from Bray.”
