Cheshire residents are benefitting from a new swimming pool complex, following the closure of older swimming sites in the county.
World Leisure was appointed to design and install the swimming pools, a flume, moveable floor and the spa area for the Northwich Memorial Leisure Centre.
Operated by Brio Leisure, the leisure facilities are located within Northwich Memorial Court – a £13.7m new lifestyle centre, which is funded by Cheshire West & Chester Council alongside the Weaver Valley Partnership Board.
World Leisure were tasked with designing and installation of the BS8007 structures consisting of a 25m ASA six-lane community competition pool and a 13 x 7m x 2.3m learner pool with moveable floor. A 56m flume including controls and pumps, was also installed, along with a day spa suite with acrylic spa-steam and sauna. In addition, World Leisure designed and installed all the plant controls and finishes associated with the development.
The Northwich project had a regenerative media filter installed on to both pools and full flow UV systems. The project was recently award a Gold Standard at the UK Pool & Spa Awards, in the Water Leisure Venue of the Year category.
