Welcoming over a million visitors each year, Tudor Grange Leisure Centre is an integral part of the Solihull community.
The complex boasts a 25m eight lane main pool, as well as a teaching pool and a multi-purpose diving pool with a 1m spring board and a 3m platform. The adjacent spa area comprises of a spa pool, steam room and sauna. The extensive water leisure facilities are accompanied by a 150 station gym, three indoor tennis courts, a sports hall, dance studios and an all-weather outdoor sports pitch.
Operated by Parkwood Leisure, Tudor Grange opened in January 2008 on the site of the former Norman Green Leisure Centre and Tudor Grange Pools which were built in the 1960s. The new facility cost £12 million and took 18 months to construct.
Earlier this year, the leisure centre was named runner-up in the Water Leisure Venue of the Year category at the UK Pool & Spa Awards and was praised by the judges for its comprehensive range of swimming activities and innovative pool programme.
“We offer a diverse programme for all clientele, starting from six months of age,” explains centre manager Simon James.
“Our swimming lessons are an important part of the weekly aquatics schedule and we offer education swimming lessons to over 2,500 children each week. Our deep and shallow water mobility sessions are also popular, as are the diving lessons that we run. The pool is also regularly used for GP referrals and exercise prescription swimming.”
