Off The Peg

Installations like this Niveko project are helping the outdated conception of one-peice pools.

Much like choosing a new car from a brochure, the ‘off the peg’ approach to purchasing a one-piece pool is pretty straightforward. From a trade perspective, one-piece pools offer a fast-track installation and a controllable profit margin.

The systemised installation is quick, straightforward and can be done in almost all weather conditions. From a consumer point of view, one piece pools are sold from a price list with no ‘guesstimating’.

This is particularly well received by customers who appreciate being able to change the specification and additional options. Added to that is the fast and hassle-free installation of a one-piece pool, resulting in minimal disruption – another tick in the box for the customer.

Far from their somewhat basic roots, today’s one-piece pool options have evolved into a sophisticated and quality home pool ownership option that give customers ‘exactly what they see on the tin’. Production enhancements combined with high quality materials, colour options, luxury finishes and extended warranties have led to a swell in the one-piece market and it looks set to continue.

It is estimated that around 20 to 30 per cent of all UK pool installations are one piece currently. As the one-piece concept becomes more understood in the UK, we could see figures rise to 50 per cent in the future.
Ed West of Sundance Pools UK comments: “In the sixties and seventies there was some low quality fibreglass being produced but the technology has moved on greatly with the introduction of better materials used in the structure.

“Our sales in recent years suggest that swimming pool companies are showing more and more interest in our product as the vast advantages of one-piece pools become more widely known.”

“We introduced the Jetswim to compete with swim spas and the good thing is that it can also be specified as self-supporting for above-ground installations,” explains Ed. “As well as that, we also keep stock of a range of European-manufactured Ceramic pools from 6m to 10m for immediate delivery, also available with integrated slatted covers.”

Available exclusively through Paramount Pool Products, Luxe Pools offer an affordable GRP reinforced one piece swimming pool that is far less time consuming and more economical than building a conventional concrete pool.

Supplied with fully-integrated covers, Luxe Pools offer marine-quality stainless steel accessories such as hydrotherapy jets, cascading water fountains, ladders and light fittings.

“Having visited the Luxe factory personally and with more than three decades of industry experience under our belts, I can vouch for the reliability of this product as well as the outstanding pre and post installation back up. In fact, we are so confident in the Luxe range that we have invested in a stock program to hold 8 and 10m pools for immediate delivery,” comments Steve Martin, managing director of Paramount Pool Products.

Giles Leisure completed the installation of a Luxe Pools, onepiece pool at a family in nearby East Sussex. The brief was to create an outdoor pool area that would complement its surroundings without compromising on the scenic views from the back garden.

The size of the pool had to be proportionate to the given area as the client didn’t want it to dominate the garden and there were safety aspects to consider with two small children and pets in the family.
