Finalists in the UK Pool & Spa Awards are off the starting blocks and hurtling their way towards the finish line, as public voting officially opens for the biggest celebration of the water leisure industry.
This year’s awards have set new records, reaching nearly 140 entries from over 60 companies, including some from as far afield as America and Africa — all aiming to raise the water leisure bar.
Open to all companies across all sectors of water leisure, the awards celebrate the achievements of the entire industry, regardless of trade membership affiliation. The judges will have another tough job on their hands separating an astonishingly high standard of entries in the ever-popular residential pool categories.
With some of the biggest names in the business standing shoulder to shoulder. One of the most popular categories this year is the new category of Holiday Park Pool Of The Year with no fewer than nine entries to choose from.
This year’s top category is the Hot Tub or Swim Spa Project with no less than 15 case studies submitted. Continually evolving and improving, the 2015 UK Pool & Spa Awards will be graded, by virtue of public vote and a panel of judges, in a Gold, Silver and Bronze format.
“The UK Pool & Spa Awards are designed to maximise the opportunity for all companies across the water leisure sector to raise profile as well as giving the industry as a whole a publicity boost,” comments Christina Connor, of Waterland Media, the company that organises the independent competition.
“The awards are now in their seventh year and have grown in popularity and stature year on year,” she added “We are one of the first events to be held at the prestigious new World Resort venue which catapults the awards into.”
The not-to-be-missed awards presentation evening will be hosted at the Vox Conference centre within the brand new Resorts World on the Birmingham NEC site on Monday 23 November. The event was a complete sell-out last year and is set to be even greater this year with a higher capacity venue and more opportunities to network with a host of pool and spa professionals.
The evening will begin at 5.30pm with a business networking style reception. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with all of the companies involved in sponsoring the awards – all helping to raise the profile of individual winners and the industry as a whole. An informal buffet dinner will precede the hotly anticipated prize-giving, when finalists across the 22 categories will be announced.
Thanks to the generosity of BOSTA UK, UK Pool & Spa Awards guests will have the opportunity to win a deluxe coffee maker for the office at this year’s event. The Espresso coffee machine is the top prize in this year’s fun interval game. With all participants invited to make a donation, it is hoped this year’s event will match the £500 raised last year for the UK Pool & Spa Awards’ chosen charity Water Aid.
Lonza UK will be hosting the after party with the hth Bash complete with live music and dancing to the outstanding Captain Scarlett. The awards ceremony is deliberately timed to coincide with the fourth edition of the UK Pool & Spa Expo which runs from Sunday to Tuesday November 22 to 24 inclusive in the Pavilion Hall at the NEC.
Tickets for the awards evening will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and can be purchased on the awards website www.ukpoolandspaawards.co.uk or call the team to reserve your table bookings of up to 10 Tel. +44 (0)1353 666663
