The UK Pool & Spa Awards are back! Returning for their seventh contest, the independent awards set out to showcase the very best of the companies involved in the provision of water leisure in Great Britain – regardless of organisation affiliation.
Even more good news is that changes to the competition ensure even more companies than ever before will be recognised for their outstanding achievements.
• NEW: There are now 24 awards categories across all areas of water leisure.
• NEW: Awards will be graded in a Gold, Silver and Bronze standards to ensure maximum exposure for all those that enter.
• NEW: The awards ceremony will take place on Monday 23rd November at the brand new Vox Conference Centre at Resorts World in Birmingham.
Founded in 2010, the independent UK Pool and Spa Awards are organised by Waterland Media, the publishers of Pool & Spa Scene, the market-leading magazine for the combined water leisure sectors. The awards are open to the entire water leisure industry and aim to celebrate stand-out swimming pools, swim spas, hot tubs, design, management and refurbishment and the outstanding people in our industry who make a difference.
The competition is open to swimming pool designers, installers, leisure operators, swim spa and hot tub manufacturers as well as wholesalers and retailers – regardless of trade association affiliation. Previous years have attracted interest from all over the UK and Eire, Europe and around the world with hundreds of entries submitted. Past award winners have said how much they value the competition as an opportunity to raise the profile of their company both inside the industry and most importantly to their target customers.
This year’s awards presentation evening will be hosted at the brand new Vox Conference centre within Resorts World on the Birmingham NEC site. The ceremony is deliberately timed to coincide with the fourth edition of the UK Pool & Spa Expo which runs from Sunday to Tuesday November 22 to 24 inclusive in the Pavilion Hall at the NEC.
The prize-giving event will begin with a business networking style drinks reception, sponsored by water treatment specialists Lonza. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with all of the companies involved in sponsoring the competition – all helping to raise the profile of individual winners and the industry as a whole.
Christina Connor, editor of Pool & Spa Scene magazine said: “The UK Pool & Spa awards recognise the exceptional achievements being made by those in our industry – whether that’s through creative pool designs, innovative technology or by outstanding customer service and teamwork.
“We have an exciting new venue for this year’s awards – the Vox Centre at Resorts World in Birmingham. I’m really looking forward to seeing the crème de la crème of the pool and spa sectors we have here in Britain and celebrating the achievements of the finalists and the winners at the awards ceremony.”
Building on its continued success, the event gets bigger and better with overwhelming demand boosting the number of award-winning opportunities to 24 this year. Another added value service is that category winners will receive free PR and marketing support to publicise their win. All short-listed competition entrants will also be able to use a special awards logo to help promote their success.
Five new categories have been added to the competition this year to recognise the accomplishments of some of the country’s leading commercial pools; these include Holiday Park Pool of the Year, Hotel Pool of the Year, Health Club Pool of the Year, Local Authority Pool of the Year and Health and Fitness Pool Of The Year. Competition entrants can either nominate their own company or another company or individual. All entries need to be accompanied by at least one, but ideally three, digital images at 300 dpi or more, which need to be uploaded with the entry form.
Those wishing to take part can enter via the UK Pool & Spa Awards website from Friday July 10. All entries must be submitted online by Monday September 7 and an entry fee of £25 plus VAT (£30 total) for each entry is payable via PayPal at time of entry submission.
