Spotting a gap in the market, Bathing Under the Sky has recently launched the UK’s first and only hot tub double-decker bus. Complete with three wood-fired hot tubs on the top deck, the bus has already made an impact on the country’s festival scene, attracting crowds at numerous events throughout the summer.
Alexandra Weissova, director of Bathing Under the Sky comments: “We wanted to come up with a quirky new outdoor hot tub experience that would be easy to transport and ideal for corporate parties and events. “Following the popularity of our pop-up spa sessions, we knew there was a market for it, so it was just a case of finding the right idea – hence the Hot Tub Bus was born.” Accommodating up to 24 bathers at any one time, the bus includes a dry Finish sauna and three gas-heated showers on the lower deck, plus individual lockers with mobile charging and a beauty corner equipped with mirrors, hairdryers and hair straighteners.
Outside, the chill-out area features deckchairs, daybeds and fire-bowls, as well as private male and female changing facilities. Available to hire for private and corporate parties and events, the bus is fully staffed by the Bathing Under the Sky team, who manage the whole operation, from set-up, filling and heating of the tubs to serving drinks and lifeguarding during bathing hours. Alexandra comments: “We’re delighted with the response that the bus has already had, with many bookings under our belt and many more in the diary.”
