Cornish Hot Tubs said thank you as they hosted a charity evening in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance last month.

Jean Roberts, wife of Cornish Hot Tubs partner John, was air lifted from a remote location after breaking her back as a result of a riding accident. Cornwall Air Ambulance saved her life by getting her the help she desperately needed. Two decades on John, Tim and the Cornish Hot Tubs team wanted to thank the Cornwall Air Ambulance for their services.

Jean’s son Tim of Cornish Hot Tubs takes up the story: “Part of Jean’s ongoing recovery was hydrotherapy and she still uses her hot tub three to four times a week.

“With the wonderful effects that hydrotherapy had on Jean’s recovery, we soon realised that hot tubs and hydrotherapy was a great idea and Cornish Hot Tubs was born.”

The company held their charity event at the Carnmarth Hotel in Newquay to raise money for the cause. Entertainment during the evening was led by Nick Annear of the sales team, who performed with his band the Straw Dogs Band.

Nick adds: “It was a fantastic evening for a fantastic cause. We managed to raise over £3,000 and we are grateful to all those that came to the event and supported us.”
