Leading calls for more industry investment in specialist training, particularly apprenticeships, Superior Wellness is proud to call itself Europe’s largest hot tub distributor, and they are still growing. With the recent move into the new headquarters in Derbyshire and with the growth of the company, Superior Wellness are searching for ideal candidates in a variety of roles including a marketing executive, web developer, customer service advisors, technicians and delivery drivers plus many more. The Superior Wellness team sheet currently includes four hot tub engineers as well as a strategic network of sub-contractors.
The company is looking for an additional four engineers to provide extensive nationwide coverage. “We have selected strategic engineers around the country to assist us, this has helped cope with the increase of sales in 2020,” comments Rob Carlin, Managing Director. “We are currently recruiting new engineers from outside the industry. “We will hold internal training with our head engineer Nic Walker as well as third party training with Balboa and Gecko.” Additional training will be offered in the area of acrylic spraying as well as spotting any issues, and dealing with them, on spas out for delivery. “The ideal candidates will have the right skills to do the job so engineers and electricians,” Rob advises. “They would have to have our companies core values and be highly experienced hot tub technicians.” In the short term, Rob is looking to find qualified electricians/engineers who can easily transfer their skill sets.
LONGER TERM
Longer term he is looking to the industry to launch apprenticeships and industry standard training courses. “It is vitally important, as an industry as a whole, we develop apprentices doing electrical engineering and also recruit qualified electricians and engineers across the board,” he emphasises. The new Superior Wellness headquarters based on the Chesterfield Trading Estate houses the warehouse, distribution centre and office, plus one of the UK’s largest hot tub showrooms for their retail division Miami Spas – which will open this summer. The new location is almost the size of two football pitches and will be the largest hot tub distribution centre in the UK stocking up to 3,000 hot tubs. Recent Superior Wellness appointments include Tim Scott as After Sales Manager, managing of team of technical support advisors, customer service advisors and technicians. The team support with technical enquires, sending replacement parts to rectify customers issues and if required can provide engineer assistance with end users.
Tim has over 20 years’ experience in the automotive retail network including Jaguar Land Rover where he was Head of After Sales. Tim Stringer joins as PHP Developer and is working to improve CRM and automation processes amongst other projects. George Sghendo has been appointed as Customer Service Advisor.
