xpelliarmus! A Harry Potter inspired transformation…
The team from North Spas undertook this spectacular full garden transformation for a customer in the North East. The garden was a sloping, two-tiered, unused area until North Spas got involved. The revamp featured the addition of an Artesian South Seas 735L, Trex decked area complete with sleeper surround and LED Lights to create the perfect ambience. The job required excavation of the bottom tier – in fact it was 30ft x 18ft and 6ft depth, filling eight skips, all completed using good old fashioned spades and wheel barrows. Limited access meant excavation equipment could not be used. In all 80 sleepers were used to build a retaining wall.
A bespoke set of wooden steps with balustrade, were built to give access to the top level – the lighting in the step gives a practical, but also stunning effect. The garden itself did not lend itself to having a shed – so our team, being practical, decided to make use of the space in a very ‘under the stairs’ Harry Potter style by creating spacious storage under the steps for garden equipment and, of course, hot tub chemicals. The arrangement of 150 Trex composite decking boards, complete with 30 decking lights to enhance the overall look, gave the customers a maintenance-free, long lasting entertaining area, and provided the ideal base for the best-selling 735L hot tub.
A Genie was used to take the tub over a 12ft wall, then to the height of the garage roof and lower the tub in to position. The £25,000 project more than exceeded the clients’ long held wishes for a hot tub with the North Spas team going the extra mile, to ensure it was made possible.
