Hydropool Spas welcomed a profile-raising opportunity to sponsor the pro-am Alternative Ryder Cup golf tournament in aid of charity. Held near Almeria in Spain, the event was timed to coincide with the real Ryder Cup. Matches mirrored the main event as participants playing during the day and then watched the television coverage during the evening and into the early hours. Hydropool sent one of its self cleaning 700 luxury editions for participants to try out. Celebrities taking part included cricket’s Ian Botham, leading jockey, Walter Swinburn, football’s Peter Reid, and from the world of athletics both Daley Thomson and Ed Moses. The event was organised by the fundraising group, The Sisterhood and all proceeds were in aid of the Royal Marsden hospital. “By sponsoring this event, Hydropool is raising the awareness of the brand through diverse methods that also support a very worthwhile charity,” commented Hydropool’s Jonathan Bunn.
