2015 is set to be a red letter year for Perthshire-based Perth Spas, having recently moved to a new showroom and storage facility, to accommodate a growing range of hot tubs and wellness products.
The family-run business has grown steadily in recent years and sales figures have doubled from 75 units per year to around 150 unit sales in 2014. Outdoor shows have played a key role in the company’s growth and the team attend up to 30 each year across Scotland.
Owner Kieron Sutherland hopes that the move to the new showroom will lead to further 20 per cent growth of the company in the future. Kieron comments: “Our hard work at shows always pays off, however many prospective customers want the opportunity to try a hot tub and also view different shapes and sizes before making the important purchasing decision.
“The new showroom offers customers the opportunity to look over the many models on display and reassures them that with Perth Spas they will not only get a first class product but most importantly a first class back up service.”
Kieron adds: “The basic business models to create greater footfall into the showroom have been put into practice and most importantly we strive to create true value to all of our customers.”
Located in Errol just outside Perth, the new 2,000 sq ft showroom has space to display up to 20 hot tubs, along with other outdoor living products such as pizza ovens, BBQs, Bluetooth music systems and a selection of Infrared cabins and saunas.
Four hot tub brands are displayed, each one carefully selected by Perth Spas to satisfy a specific market sector. The Nordic range offers good value for money with prices between £2,995 and £3,995, while the higher spec Garden Leisure range starts from around £4,995. At the top end of the scale, Perth offers the California Cooperage and Maax ranges. In addition to portable hot tubs, Perth Spas also offer Covana hot tub covers plus Power Pool, Catalina and Garden Leisure swim spas. In terms of water treatment, Perth offer the Ekonspa range of chlorine-free hot tub sanitizer products plus the Aquafinesse system.
“Both of our main suppliers Maax spas and SCP have fully supported the new venture and have provided staffing support at our main summer time shows including the Royal Highland Show and Scottish Game Fair,” says Kieron.
“With further investment in to new show equipment to make the set up and break down quicker and easier the shows will again become a major part of Perth Spas business in 2015. This key part of the business creates many new prospects and often results in sales two, three, or even four years after the first contact.”
He adds: “The shows also generate the opportunity to showcase Perth Spas to holiday park operators and we see this as a major growth opportunity going forward for Perth Spas both in hot tub sales and service opportunities.”
