A former High Street bank has been transformed and looks set to pay high dividends for one of the UK’s latest hot tub showrooms.

Formerly a Lloyds bank building, the High Street venue in Ashton-under-Lyne, part of Greater Manchester, now showcases a selection of spas and swim spas from the Hydropool range alongside an impressive display of bespoke barbecue and camping cabins.

“We have been involved with the Arctic BBQ cabins and camping cabins now for a few years attending many trade shows all over the country,” comments Pauline Johnston who runs the family-based Cabins and Spas business with husband Brian and son Matthew.

“We were always being asked if we sold hot tubs to go into the cabins and began to consider the idea, so started to do some research,” says Pauline.

“We chose Hydropool for the obvious reasons of a quality product and brand awareness and it helped that they were looking for a dealer in this area,” she adds.

“We bought the building from Lloyds bank back in 1995 so it isn’t a new purchase and the building has had many uses since then so there are not many original features left,” Pauline explains. “I do think we are quite unique in the fact that most hot tub showrooms are on industrial parks so we are lucky to have the space on the high street.”
