Spatex Splashes Into Hot Tub Market

SPATEX
Portable hot tubs and commercial spas will take centre stage at SPATEX 2015.

As part of its annual education programme, for the first time next year, SPATEX the UK pool and spa exhibition, run for the industry, by the industry, is presenting a full day of specialist spa and hot tub workshops for both the commercial and domestic sectors.

The dedicated day of spa and hot tub training opportunities will take place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry on Tuesday February 3.

Further sessions will be announced in due course, but meanwhile, the organisers have promised the free-of-charge, one-day spa and hot tub sessions will be packed with information, covering topics such as:

  • The water treatment of displays and hot tubs
  • Commercial spa management
  • Water Treatment for domestic spas
  • commercial spas versus domestics spas

“We have responded to visitor feedback which called for a greater focus on spas in addition to that already awarded to pools,” comments Ross Alcock, of the Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers that coordinates the education programme on behalf of SPATEX.

“We are putting together an expert-led package with something for everybody who is involved with either domestic or commercial spas, whether it be managing their use, installing, servicing or selling them,” Ross added.

Promising to be bigger, bolder and better and returning for the second year to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena, SPATEX organiser, Michele Bridle says: “So much more than just an exhibition, as the leading pool and spa show, SPATEX prides itself on being at the vanguard of training and education.

“Thanks to ISPE’s involvement, no other wet leisure exhibition is able to offer so much specialist spa information, all under one roof.

“The knowledge-base at SPATEX 2015 will be second to none and no other pool show will deliver so much information on so many topics, all free of charge.”

SPATEX runs from Sunday to Tuesday, February 1-3, 2015 and planning is well under way for the ISPE-organised workshop programme, so check out the SPATEX website for updates.

Michele adds: “More [workshop] content will be revealed soon, but there will be something of interest to people from all areas of the pool and spa trade.

“Topics will include heat pumps, filtration, various aspects of water treatment, the management of commercial pools, and sessions that will look to help save energy and other resources.”
