SUPERIOR BLOWS HOT… AND COLD!

THE GOOD LOOKING Hekla sauna is tipped to be a showroom favourite for the 2023 season. SUPERIOR WELLNESS Managing Director, Rob Carlin, has added a Chill Tub ice bath to his fitness regime.

Complementing hot tubs, and swim spa sales retailers now have the ideal wellness combination to offer customers who can create their own spa sanctuary in the comfort and convenience of their own home.

For instance Superior Wellness is reporting strong pre-orders on a new Hekla range of barrel and cube saunas as well as new Chill Tubs – the latest ice bath to the market. Designed to improve wellness, encourage relaxation, spend quality time with loved ones and lead healthier and more tranquil lives, a sauna can be a relaxing place to unwind after a long day or to relax and de-stress.

LIFESTYLE CHOICE
Superior’s Hekla saunas have been inspired by nature using Baltic sauna traditions and have been built in a sustainable way using Thermowood from Nordic Spruce which is 100% natural. Roof shingles protect the sauna and increase the insulation. “We are delighted to launch Hekla Saunas and they are already proving to be popular with pre-orders.

It is important that we built the saunas using natural materials with sustainable practices,” reports Gareth Ward, Sales Director at Superior Wellness. “It is also a great combination to have a sauna alongside a hot tub. Our purpose is to improve wellness for all.” Standing out from the crowd, the Hekla cube saunas are supplied with a huge glass panel window, offering users a panoramic view and the perfect getaway.

Also available as a compact barrel design, the saunas are supplied with two options for heating for each sauna including an electric heater and a wood burning stove. At the other end of the wellness scale, Superior Wellness are now also offering Chill Tubs, an ice bath that is a recovery technique used by athletes and individuals looking to reduce muscle soreness and inflammation after physical activity.

Made from aluminium, with a teak top and a black aluminium surround, the Chill Tub looks stylish and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. Its temperature settings go as low as 0 degrees and it holds 400 litres of water. It has a built-in patent pending ozonator for clear water plus an insulated cover to help reduce running costs. Not suitable for everyone, and medical guidance is advised, some potential benefits of taking an ice tub include:
• Reducing muscle soreness
• Improving recovery time
• Decreasing inflammation
• Improving circulation

Rob Carlin, Managing Director, at Superior Wellness has recently tried out the new Chill tub, said: “It was an invigorating experience and really helped to reduce muscle soreness following an intense workout. “It helped to reduce my recovering time and I am now going to use the Chill tub regularly as part of my wellness routine.”
