AQUA SPA SUPPLIES say customers will spend an average of £250 annually after purchasing their hot tub.

Aqua Spa Supplies has carried out a survey of the hot tub accessories market, naming its top five selling products. Top spot went to its deluxe Storage Steps – not only vital for safe and easy access to the hot tub but an ideal spot for keeping cleaning and water treatment products close to hand. Runner-up place was another safety product, the Safety Hand Rail, making getting in and out of the tub feel safe and easier for users of all ages. Rising six places, compared with last year’s figures, was the Mytee Mitt™ a comfortable cleaning glove which can be washed and re-used multiple times. Straight in at number four this year is The Paradise Spa Vac, 7ft telescopic pole.

At number five, the Aqua Filter Cleaner aqua filter cleaner is seen as a vital part of maintaining the water quality in the hot tub. Martin Rigby, Business Development Manager for the Aqua Warehouse Group reminded retailers of the addon potential of after sale product sales, year-on-year. “Switched-on retailers know that selling a hot tub is only the starting point of a sales journey that can see the majority of customers spending £250 a year on after purchase products, from water treatment to aquatic toys and games,” he said.
