In a secluded pocket of rural Wales is the Welsh Hot Tubs showroom, home to the long-established company with almost 20 years’ experience in its field. Formed in 1999, the business was initially opened by Managing Director, Steve Baxter as a timber decking business.
However, after installing a log-fired cedar barrel hot tub for a customer in 2001, Steve spotted a gap in the market and set up the sister company, Welsh Hot Tubs. Over the past two decades Welsh Hot tubs have gradually phased out their decking side of the business to focus on growing their wet leisure side in to the success it is today, providing its customers with access to over 100 spas – one of the largest selections in Wales.
SPA SETTINGS
“We specialise in providing the best quality products and service to our customers,” explains Steve, “We are based in a very rural part of Wales which can be surprising to many of our customers – once they have managed to find us – but it is a beautiful place to show our hot tubs.
“We are ideally situated to provide excellent service to our customers in Wales. Also, most of our staff are bilingual and are happy to speak Welsh or English with our customers,” adds Steve. “We pride ourselves in offering all of our customers friendly, helpful and informative advice on all issues. You will find that we don’t push to sell the most profitable large spa but aim to select a spa that meets your requirements; considering issues such as height, family size, massage type and health requirements.”
Aiming to stand out from the crowd by providing exceptional customers service, Welsh Hot Tubs are aided by the range of the services on offer. They sell, service and repair hot tubs, swim spas and Endless pool swimming machines, and sell a range of chemicals, parts and accessories from their showroom and online. The family run business stock a range of tubs and spas, with 22 hot tubs and three swim spas at their showroom, showcasing the most popular models from the extensive ranges of each of their manufacturers; LA Spas, Marquis Spas, Vita Spas and their latest addition, the American Whirlpool.
“The Marquis Epic Ultimate and the LA Spa HEET from the premium ranges and the mid-range adventure series San Juan are our bestsellers,” explains Steve, “Also the new Marquis Vector range is proving extremely popular.
HOLIDAY HOT TUBS 
“Our customers are people who want to buy a quality product and receive the best advice and customer service from a local company. Many of our customers are holiday cottage or holiday park owners who are looking to upgrade their properties by installing a hot tub.
“We are currently working on four exciting swim-spa projects with some involving Covana automated roof covers.” The family run business is led by Steve. Trevor is the service manager, Ben and Luke are the engineers and Charlotte completes the team by marketing the business, but Steve emphasises: “As we are a small family run company, we value the opinions of all of our staff and each one has influenced the company in some way.”
With plans in the 2018 pipeline to include expanding their range or products, their swim spa range and continuing their new development with American Whirlpool there is plenty to keep Welsh Hot Tubs busy. Previous hard work has not gone unnoticed either with Steve telling of the companies landmark moments: “Winning silver in the European EUSA 2016 Pool Awards was a proud moment for us, it means a lot to have our work recognised by others in the industry.”
