As the official and exclusive UK representative of the water leisure sector’s international press alliance, Pool & Spa Scene will jetting off to two European trade shows this month, flying the flag for the UK industry.

The Piscina & Wellness show takes place on 13-16 October at Gran Via in Barcelona. It is estimated that some 300 companies will be exhibiting at this year’s show, an 11 per cent increase on the 2013 exhibition. Organised by Fira de Barcelona in partnership with the Spanish Association of Swimming Pool Manufacturers (ASOFAP), the show attracts visitors from over 25 countries who flock to see the exhibitors’ innovative and eco-efficient solutions across the show’s three key areas – residential pools, spa and wellness and public swimming pools.

Among the exhibitors, Calorex will be showcasing its portfolio of bespoke swimming pool heat pumps and dehumidifiers, including the recently upgraded Delta and Variheat ranges of humidity control systems and the super-efficient Pro-Pac swimming pool heat pumps. Be sure to make a beeline for other UK companies exhibiting at the Barcelona show, including Artesian Spas, ATG UV Technology, Elecro Engineering, ITS Europe and Lamotte Europe. Look out for the Pool & Spa Scene team in the UK Pavilion.

At the end of October Pool & Spa Scene will be heading over to Cologne in Germany for the Aquanale international trade fair. New for this year, Aquanale will be moving to the North Halls of the Koelnmesse exhibition centre from 27 – 30 October, to form one of the largest marketplaces for the swimming pool industry in the world.

Organisers of the show are expecting the next edition of Aquanale to show an increase in exhibitor interest from home and abroad, in comparison to the 2013 event.

“For the swimming pool, sauna and wellness sectors, public as well as private, the move to the modern North Halls represents a stronger focus on existing synergies and an improvement in visiting conditions for exhibitors and visitors, thereby creating a professional atmosphere in which to develop business networks on a national and international scale,” says Katharina C. Hamma, chief operating officer at Koelnmesse GmbH.

UK exhibitors at this year’s Aquanale include Certikin International, Triogen, Waterco Europe, Palintest and Golden Coast. Don’t forget to pick up the latest copy of Pool & Spa Scene magazine at both international trade shows.
