A new accolade exclusive to organisations in the leisure sector – that will enable organisations to shout about their dedication to the wellbeing of their staff and customers – has been launched by the country’s longest-running health and safety awards scheme. New to the RoSPA Awards for 2019 is the Leisure Safety Award, which will recognise companies that put the safety and health of their customers, visitors and guests, as well as their staff, first. Sponsored by SportsCover, the new category will award at a Merit, Bronze, Silver, or Gold level, depending upon the quality of the entry.
At the end of the process, the organisation with the best entry will be handed the overall Leisure Safety Trophy. The RoSPA Awards is the country’s longest-running health and safety awards initiative, entering its 63rd year in 2019. Last year, entrants came from 24 countries, and represented around 7 million employees worldwide.
