KIK Custom Products Inc., Canada has signed an agreement to acquire BioLab Inc., as well as its overseas subsidiaries BAYROL Group, BioLab South Africa and BioLab Australia.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and is expected to complete on December 31.
Carl Porter, divisional manager with Pollet Pool Group, the UK distributors of BAYROL commented: “It will be business as usual for us as part of an on-going, successful partnership with the BAYROL brand.
“With KIK Custom Products Inc., BAYROL has a strong and financially sound partner at its side, and the BAYROL management is certain that under the new ownership, the company will continue to successfully grow its business even further.”
With the acquisition of Chem Lab, USA in 2011, KIK has entered the field of pool water treatment, and the portfolio of BioLab and BAYROL perfectly complement theirs.
KIK Custom Products was founded in 1993 and is located in Toronto, Canada. As a privately owned business, KIK has achieved a turnover of approx. 1.2 Billion US $ in 2012 with the production of products such as household cleaners and body care products for some of the worlds largest retailers. The company employs approx. 3.000 people at 14 different locations across Canada and the USA. So far KIK has no activities in Europe whatsoever.
