BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

AQUA TECHNICS POOLS’ one-piece pools is an easy crossover choice for hot tub and swim spa specialists looking to expand into pool-building.

One-piece-pools offer an exciting business dimension, not only for traditional pool builders, but equally for established spa retailers. Andy and Laura Wroot of Midlands located MySpa UK, who have launched a pool installation division called MySpa Pools, are perfect examples.

The Wroots and their dynamic team have readily grasped the brand values and USPs of Aqua Technics Pools dealership. They have invested heavily in education and training for both onsite and office staff, and are already reaping the rewards.

Aqua Technics Pools UK, the UK and European distributors of Aqua Technics Pools of Western Australia, are busy filling in gaps in the UK map with dealers. Dorian Davies, Aqua Technics’ dealer network manager, is tasked with recruiting the outstanding dealers to represent them in each area.

“We install dealers on a territorially exclusive basis, where we contractually agree not to appoint another dealer within an agreed area, rather than sell to the world and his wife,” explains Dorian. “We do this because we want proactive, ambitious, driven dealers who are happy to invest in their marketing, training, branding, and staff to maximise the opportunities that being an authorised Aqua Technics Pools dealer brings them.

Most established spa dealers have experience in craning spas and swimspas into excavated holes for in-ground installations, and having to deal with contingent things like ground water and excavation collapse; so it’s not that much more additional training for their site staff on the installation of an Aqua Technics Pool.

With its modular plant room and pre-plumbed pipework, the Aqua Technics Pools range offers the obvious cross-over opportunity. “We are not prescriptive on only targeting traditional ‘pool’ companies’ as potential dealers, we’re also happy to consider companies whose main focus historically has been hot tubs and swimspas,” emphasises Dorian.

He adds: “As long as they are in the wet leisure industry – so that they’ll already have an understanding of the principles and importance of disciplines like filtration, circulation, water hygiene, water chemistry management, site logistics, and very high standards of customer service.”
