Working solely on a recommendation basis, Surrey-based Perfect Pools has mastered the art of building and maintaining solid customer relationships. Owner Gregg White has been building and renovating swimming pools for over 30 years and has owned his own company for more than 22 years.
He heads up the highly-skilled team of three who, between them, undertake every aspect of each project. “All of the work that I carry out is for people that I know or through recommendations,” explains Gregg. “I’ve been lucky enough to have good relationships and build up a strong client base. In fact many of my customers have been with me for a long time and treat us like extended members of the family.”
As well as new builds and renovations, Perfect Pools undertakes the service and maintenance of residential pools, as well as basic open and close jobs for a number of loyal customers. Most recently, the team completed two indoor residential pool projects for an exclusive property developer – Belvedere – in Buckinghamshire. ”
“My very good friend Keith De Costa owner of Belvedere development builds fantastic high-end houses, and I am lucky to be the one who builds the pools in them!” says Gregg. “This also gives me access to skilled electricians, plumbers and other trades without running around to find them.”
The first Belvedere project was a top spec indoor freeboard pool at a private new-build residence on the Gerrards Cross development. The pool was constructed from reinforced concrete and featured a bespoke tiled band by Waxman Ceramics.
The second project was a 12m x 6m pool at property on the Wentworth Estate in Virginia Water. The pool has a roman end and with a ledge around the perimeter to support the Roldeck cover.
Both pools were recognised in the Residential Indoor Pool of the Year category at 2015 UK Pool and Spa Awards, earning Perfect Pools a Gold Standard and Silver Standard award respectively.
Says Gregg: “All the pool equipment and tiles were supplied through our working partners Prestige Swimming Pools. I have worked with Prestige for many years and they make my job easy by supplying top quality products as I need them. “My other preferred suppliers are Certikin, Waxman, Senlac and Roldeck who regularly provide products in first class condition and on time.”
Looking to the future, Gregg hopes to focus more on the refurb and renovation side of the business.
He concludes: “My long-term company goal is to continue to make swimming pools as good as, if not better, than the first than the first day they were built.”
