Hosting over 300 exhibitors and expecting up to 7,000 leisure professional visitors, Leisure Industry Week (LIW) returns to Birmingham’s NEC from September 24th – 26th. Bringing together professionals from across the spectrum of the leisure industry, this annual event comprises of seven leisure sectors; Play & Attractions, Pool & Spa, Eat & Drink, Health & Fitness, Leisure Facilities and Sport. LIW provides the traditional curtain-opener to the exhibition season and is the recognised main meeting place for the commercial pool and spa community. The organisers set out to provide an arena in which visitors can test and compare products from industry leading suppliers with the benefit of live demos, training and educational workshop events. LIW is the first opportunity to come up for air at the end of a hectic summer season, to get inspiration and new ideas to help stand out from competitors in the future. The Pool & Spa section of the show will benefit from a new partnership with the STA, the world’s largest independent swimming teaching and lifesaving organisation, which will provide a feature called the STA Swim Zone. The STA Swim Zone will showcase a range of interesting events throughout the duration of the show. Visitors will be able to see a number of swimming, lifesaving and pool plant live demonstrations, as well as hear from some of UK’s leading suppliers of aquatic services and products to the leisure industry – all designed to show leisure operators how they can further maximise revenue from their pool facility. RoSPA will once again run their Health & Safety Advice clinic at LIW which will provide visitors with the latest information on pool safety. To beat the queues it is best to register your attendance in advance – http://www.liw.co.uk/Content/Pool-and-Spa
