With unbeatable road, rail and air links to the NEC in Birmingham, the UK Pool & Spa Expo will be looking to reinforce its goal of providing the UK water leisure sectors with the ideal forum to promote international trade.
Now in its second year, the UK Pool & Spa Expo is welcoming exhibitors from not just the UK, but also from Holland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Hungary and the USA for the three day event.
An impressive line up of some 70 exhibitors includes more than 45 companies that have chosen to make the Expo their only exhibition date this year.
About 50% of exhibitors are primarily involved in products, water treatment and accessories for spas, hot tubs and swim spas. The remainder represent a cross section of swimming pool provision from construction to flumes and slides.
Offering networking opportunities previously unseen in the UK pool and spa sector, the event also boasts the added attraction of the UK Pool & Spa Awards that are being held at the nearby Crowne Plaza on the first evening, Thursday February 20.
Other highlights include a networking evening being held within the exhibition at end of trading on Friday, February 21 while on Saturday, February 22, the event is open to end-users as well as business visitors.
The event aims to provide a fresh approach for existing pool and spa businesses as well as information and advice for providers of commercial pools especially with refurbishment and new build projects.
The educational element of the Expo event has been strengthened this year by an extended seminar programme including speakers from
• ROSPA • CIMSPA
• ITS Europe • Dryden Aqua
• CJE Leisure • ATG UV
• Pool ID
There is also the first-ever opportunity to attend an NSPF-run pool operator course in the UK.
Following the successful inclusion of the New Product Zone at last year’s show, many exhibitors will be using UK Pool & Spa Expo 2014 as their primary showcase for new products and technologies in the first quarter of 2014.
Spa Euro will be revealing their VacuSeal Cover Lifter for the first time in Europe at the exhibition, and Austrian-based Physiotherm will be showcasing their range of infrared cabins. Creative Ceilings have combined radiant heating film with a stretched ceiling to create an exclusive ‘Radiant Heated Stretched Ceiling System’ which will also be available to view in the New Product Zone, as well as ITS Europe’s new eXact iDip handheld photometer.
DOUBLE LOUNGER
Artesian Spas will be displaying the new 853L DX, the first double lounge model introduced to their popular South Seas Spas range. Laticrete UK is introducing Hydro Ban (TM) at UK Pool & Spa Expo. This single component self-curing liquid rubber polymer forms a flexible, seamless waterproofing membrane that can bond to a wide variety of substrates including copper, steel, stainless steel and PVC plumbing fixtures.
Vita Spas are showcasing Smartop, a one-of-a-kind design for spa covers. With impermeable interlocking polymer panels this cover offers zero water retention and is odour free, it can withstand the harshest weather conditions and is durable and long-lasting.
LaMotte Europe will be introducing and demonstrating the NEW Portable WaterLink Spin-Lab in the ‘New Product Zone’ and on stand 302. The Portable Water-link Spin is a revolutionary professional water analysis laboratory that can achieve a full suite of water analysis in just 60 seconds. With just one sample of water the Water-link Spin measures pH, total chlorine, free chlorine and 7 other parameters of water chemistry and generates a full recommendation based report. Specifically designed for the Pool Service Engineer, the Portable Water-link Spin is faster, simpler and more accurate than anything that has gone before in the pool and spa water testing market.
