.As the official and exclusive UK representative of the water leisure sector’s International Press Alliance, Pool & Spa Scene staffed stands at both Piscina & Wellness Barcelona and Aquanale in Cologne, flying the flag exclusively for the UK industry.
The 12th edition of Piscina & Wellness Barcelona from October 13 – 16 ended on a high note, indicating that economic recovery is taking hold in the sector and that demand in the Spanish market is picking up. Over 12,000 visitors attended the four day show, 12 per cent up on the initial forecast. 42 per cent of the visitors were international professionals from 76 countries, principally France, Italy, Portugal and Germany.
Buyers from Israel, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Argentina, Mexico, Morocco and Brazil also made the trip to Barcelona for the exhibition. As always there was a broad selection of products and innovations on display from 287 exhibitors, representing 450 companies – a 13 per cent increase on the 2013 show.
This year in particular there was a greater attendance of professionals from the sports facilities, tourism and wellness sectors. After four successful days, Aquanale the international trade fair for sauna, pool and ambience, ended on 30 October with an all-round positive balance and increased internationality.
Around 26,600 visitors from 117 countries experienced innovations, products and services from the fields of sports amenities and pool facilities at the leading fair in Cologne.Decision-makers, leisure operators, architects, planners and landscape architects from both the commercial and private sectors descended upon the exhibition, leading to a seven per cent increase of visitors compared to the previous show.
