Everything is on schedule for next month’s unveiling of the MegaGroup’s new state-ofthe- art European Distribution Centre (EDC) in the Netherlands.
The biggest investment in the company’s history, the brand new EDC will hold stock of over 21,000 product lines servicing all customers in Western Europe and is on track to begin operation on November 1.
Current turnover for the MegaGroup is in excess of 100m Euros, and partly due to the new EDC, projected sales will double within the next five years.
The EDC enables the group to offer:
• Increased range of products with better availability and larger stocks held;
• Simpler, faster order processing and logistics;
• Improved technical service offered by in-house Service Centre;
• Faster and more complete deliveries;
• ‘Track & Trace’ facility for tracking orders.
It was more than 70 years ago that the foundations of the Mega Group, Bosta Netherlands, began selling rubber and aluminium fittings for irrigation and livestock feeding equipment.
Rapid expansion during the 1980’s led to further companies being set up in the UK, Belgium and Germany and to cope with the demand.
