As energy costs rise and with a greater understanding of the environmental impact our energy usage has on the planet, pool owners are increasingly looking at ways in which new technology can help.
By combining a variable speed circulation pump, with a variable speed heat pump, it is possible create a system which works intelligently to maintain an optimum bather environment whilst greatly reducing the running costs.
Inverter technology, as found in the Zodiac ZS500 heat pump, can give up to a 45 per cent energy saving (class A) compared to traditional, fixed speed heat pumps. In addition, utilising a variable speed circulation pump, such as the FloPro also from Zodiac, you can run the filtration system for longer periods whilst reducing the pump running costs by up to 90 per cent.
“Although the initial outlay on variable speed technology is sometimes a barrier for pool owners, the reality is that with the right education, and three year warranties, most owners would be happy to invest for the future,” comments Daniel Phillips of Lighthouse Pools, UK distributors of Zodiac pool care products.
Daniel adds: “Stop by our stand at SPATEX to see for yourself the possibilities of how variable speed technology can be integrated in a pool system for the future.” Lighthouse Pools will have a fully operating FloPro and ZS500 on stand E40 at SPATEX 2016, or call the team during normal office hours.
