Visitors to Cally Pool in Islington are enjoying the benefits of a £351,000 refurbishment project to the centre, funded by Sport England and Islington Council.
Extensive improvements were made to the changing facilities, which now offer individual changing and shower cubicles, as well as easy access to the pool for disabled users and direct access to the gym and sauna from the main changing room.
Orla Moore, general manager at Cally Pool, which is managed by Aquaterra in strategic partnership with Islington Council, said the whole site was now completely accessible for users to enjoy and that feedback about the upgrade had so far been encouraging.
Orla adds: “We are delighted to welcome customers to Cally Pool’s new facilities. The refurbished changing rooms look fantastic and have been positively received by many user groups, particularly disabled customers, school groups and parents with children.”
