The UK’s biggest hot tub retailer is taking a leading role in a brand new ITV documentary, which delves into the inner workings of the hot tub business.
Hot Tub Britain will follow the personalities that run The Hot Tubs Superstore in Blackpool, and the customers that buy the products.
Sally Evans, executive producer at TV production company Shiver said: “There’s a real hot tub obsession in Britain; one in ten households now have one in their garden. Hot Tub Britain is an entertaining and insightful documentary which by investigating our passion for hot tubs gives viewers a quirky and fascinating snapshot of British life today.”
Shiver, the factual division of ITV Studios UK, was commissioned by ITV to produce the 6o minute programme, which will be aired later this year.
Ross Phillipson, director at The Hot Tubs Superstore said: “The production company approached us last year about the documentary and we’re really excited to be taking part.
The programme will capture the day to day running of the business over the course of a year.
“Filming started a few months ago and will resume in a few weeks. The production crew came with us to America to sit in on manufacturer meetings, and they also visited the UK Pool & Spa Show in Birmingham.” Ross adds: “There is a real buzz in the hot tub industry at the moment, and we’re keen to represent the sector in the best light possible.
As a company, it’s important that we keep up a good reputation and we hope that the programme will in turn be beneficial to the industry as a whole.”
