Pollet Pool Group’s technical sales executive Michael Witney will be pulling on the lycra and hopping on his bike in June to embark on a 142 mile cycle ride for charity.
The route from London’s Olympic Stadium to Ajax Stadium in Amsterdam will take Michael and his three friends two days to complete, in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. “Most of us have been affected by cancer in one way or another so rather than wishing I had done something to help, I’m doing it,” says Michael.
Michael is hoping to raise £1,500 for the charity and is already well on his way to achieving that target. He adds: “Research into prostate cancer and services for men with this disease have been badly underfunded. Unfortunately, more and more of us will be affected some way in the future, and we are on a four man mission to raise some much needed funding to help beat this disease.”
