
National Leisure members travelled to the Isle of Wight recently to visit Heatstar, the UK’s leading manufacturer of highly energy efficient environmental control systems for swimming pools. Heatstar is proud to manufacture all its products exclusively in the UK from their base on the Isle of Wight. The site includes, Heatstar’s head office, its manufacturing and production facility and the stores and despatch depot. National Leisure members were able to see at first hand, the very latest technologies which Heatstar are developing and incorporating into their systems and to find out more about Heatstar’s exceptional range of products. Members of National Leisure who attended included: Nick Bettin (Alan Bettin Swimming Pools), Simon and Tim Bareham (Cresta Leisure), Nigel Gray (Grayfox Pools), Paula and Barry McCabe (Oyster Pools), Martin and Delyse Borley (Tanby Pools), Simon and Liane Dickson (Waterstream) and Jane (Climatic Chamber) and Les Matthieson (National Leisure).One of the facilities visited on the tour was Heatstar’s specialist climatic chamber which serves as a rigorous testing facility for new Heatstar systems before they leave the building. RIGOROUS TESTING Since 1980 Heatstar have pioneered the innovation, design and manufacture of modern, highly energy efficient, climate control systems for swimming pools. Many of Heatstar’s customers have developed a strong relationship with the company over many years including some of the visiting group. In the evening, the group were joined by Heatstar’s management team for a relaxed and sociable evening’s entertainment and a meal at the Island’s famous, George Hotel, a 17th century town house nestled on the water’s edge in the bustling harbour town of Yarmouth. All the National Leisure visitors were presented with a Heatstar ‘goodie’ bag made up of the finest Island products as a special memento and thank you for making time for such a successful visit.
