With a new baby arriving, 2013 was always going to be busy year for Carl Porter, divisional manager of Pollet Pool Group, resolved to work hard and play hard.
“2013 has been an exciting and rewarding year for PPG,” says Carl. “We became the UK and Eire distributors for the Bayrol brand of chemicals at the beginning of the year and also enjoyed good growth in our pools equipment sector,” he says.
“We all had to work hard as a team and spent many long hours integrating the Bayrol brand into our business. We have been well received by our existing and new customers and enjoyed meeting them over the course of the year.
Carl has set PPG 2014 targets to keep growing with raising the bar on customer service and technical support is at the top of the list. Measuring and monitoring will be carried out weekly, monthly and quarterly to check that progress.
Carl says: “PPG has a large field presence and we aim to visit our customers on a regular basis. Growing product knowledge through seminars and on-site support is essential,” he adds. Carl says all PPG projections look strong. “I predict that we will have a growth year but as PPG continues to grow, we look forward to our customers growing with us.
“For companies to succeed, they need to work closely with their customers and adapt to climatic and economic changes.
“Success will be the reward earned by commitment to quality products and a supplier that can offer the whole service; technical support, training and price package – with, of course, a heavy dose of good weather.”
