Newson Builds On Pool Legacy

Newson2After 29 years in their previous offices, Newson Pools, of Norwich, has taken the plunge and relocated. The new premises offers three times as much floor area as well as having a secure car park and yard. A showroom will provide the opportunity to meet with customers, and show them what is what is available. There is an option to expand into an outdoor show area. At the moment the workforce is ten-strong but the company is actively recruiting new members of staff on both the service, sales and marketing. “We felt it was time to find more suitable premises, after missing out on another property we were delighted to find a more suitable property,” says managing director Shaun Newson. “We are still sorting through 29 years of equipment and have scaled this down after years of hoarding, however this is an ongoing process and with the season upon us it’s a task that may take some time. The showroom is filling up with new products and displays,” comments Shaun.“Newson Swimming Pools has now been in business for 31 years this year, and I personally have been involved within the industry for nearly 35 years; my son Matt will be here to take the business further.” Shaun adds: “As a small family business everyone within our company are key players and have their own personal qualities. This is a key factor that helped us to achieve where we are today and to take us to the next level.” Newson’s work ranges from servicing existing swimming pools, spas, saunas and steam room right up to the construction of commercial deck-level pools. They also offer after-sales advice and provide a back-up service to the ambitious self-build customer. We provide advice to local authorities and leisure centres. The company covers an area of 50 mile radius of Norwich but have select customers who we attend in parts of the UK and France. The team is now actively marketing the company including regular social media updates. Adds Shaun: “With the new premises and its facilities, it has to offer we can now bring the company into the 21st century.”
