Oyster Make The Difference At Special School

Multi-award-winning Oyster Pools and Leisure of Wales completed the installation of a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool at Blackmarston, a community primary special school in Hereford. The pool was officially opened by Sacha Kindred OBE and his fiancée, Nyree Lewis, both swimming gold medallists at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. They wowed pupils, staff and guests with first-hand accounts of their many achievements and, as Sacha said: “I’ve experienced myself how a facility like this can help so I’m delighted to be able to open this pool and to witness the positive impact on youngsters at the school.” At the official opening, Oyster managing director Barry McCabe said what everyone was feeling: “The enthusiasm and sense of achievement shown by the Oyster team on this job was incredible. “Everyone was fully aware of who they were helping and how much good would come from their immense efforts. The team was immense as this was a hugely demanding assignment. Indeed, such was the close involvement of or team that they all insisted on being at the pool’s official opening.” Oyster is a member of the National Leisure buying consortium. Technical equipment on the project included a Lacron filter, Certikin fittings and a Calorex Vaporex through-the-wall environmental control system.
