PPG UK CELEBRATE RECORD SALES YEAR

PPG UK 1The UK division of Pollet Pool Group set the seal on a record breaking year for the team with their traditional Open Day event at its Newbury headquarters. Peter Turnbull, General Manager, welcomed customers, product partners and Swimming Pool Scene, to what he hoped would prove to be an informative and rewarding event. “It was 25 years ago that Pollet started in water treatment and it was 2004 that Pollet Pool Group was formed to serve the swimming pool industry,” Peter told the assembled audience. “Fast forward to the present day and PPG boast eight distribution bases and two manufacturing companies in Aqua deck and Niveko with more acquisitions this year and on the horizon. “Exclusively supplying the professional pool builder, and not selling to the end user, PPG retains, as part of its core values, a focus on quality, innovative design; intuitive, easy to install products adapted to the market need, backed by large stock levels, quick deliveries and a huge emphasis on professional training.”

EASY TO INSTALL
PPG felt the move to their new headquarters in 2017 was key to their investment in training and bringing customers and suppliers together for the best working practice.  National Sales Manager Jimmy Lamb said: “PPG support pool builders – that is our strap line. “There is a big emphasis on PPG branded products so we can protect sales and margins for our customers,” he added.

KEY SUPPLIERS
PPG UK 2Key partners at the event included Waterco, Speck Pumps, Bayrol, WDT, Dryden Aqua, Tintometer, Palintest and Pirnaha cleaners. Chris Carr from the Institute of Swimming Pool engineers was also on hand to support the PPG commitment to promoting professionalism in the industry through training. Peter Turnbull gave a demonstration of the company’s on-line ordering opportunities, especially with the ordering systems for the Aquadeck slatted pool cover “The web shop is ultimately a timesaver for customers who can access all products by name or type, via a user name and password,” Peter explained. “All discounts will automatically be built-in; and you see colour-coded stock levels, your real price, previous orders, returns, with the opportunity to save and return.” Once again, the event made a difference for a special charity, raising more than £450 for Naomi House, a children’s hospice.

“ONCE AGAIN, THE EVENT MADE A DIFFERENCE FOR A SPECIAL CHARITY, RAISING MORE THAN £450 FOR NAOMI HOUSE, A CHILDREN’S HOSPICE.”

The event concluded in the evening with a dinner and prize-giving of UK Weekend Breaks as follows:
• Loyalty Awards – Oxford Pools & Lifestyle Pool & Leisure
• Best Newcomer – Fowler Group
• Biggest Sales Growth – Aqua Platinum Projects

An important date for diaries, announced at the event, is the next PPG training event on Bayrol feeder systems, scheduled for February. As always, early booking is advised.
