Providing a comprehensive maintenance and repair service for their customers nationwide, RG Pools and Leisure are passionate about improving swimming facilities.
The company aims to take the strain for pool owners and operators, offering help and advice on all aspects of pool care, from basic water balance advice to underwater tiling repairs and complete plant room rebuilds. RG Pools’ managing director Russell Green explains: “With government budget cuts hitting the leisure industry hard, it is important that, as a company, we remain cost effective and produce a high level of quality in workmanship for our customers. It’s about finding the balance between quality materials at a good price, good subcontractors and effective time management.”
FIRMLY ESTABLISHED
Formed by Russell in 2011, RG Pools has firmly established itself as a ‘go-to’ company for residential and commercial clients including councils, leisure operators, hospitals, hotels and schools. Russell is supported with the day-to-day running of the business by office and accounts manager Helena Green, and engineer Lucien Harris.
“After 16 years of working in the leisure industry, I was headhunted by a swimming pool company to run the maintenance and installations of swimming pool plant and swimming pool features. General feedback from the customers was very positive and my heart was in making sure swimming pools were running as smoothly as possible. My enthusiasm for having satisfied customers spurred me on to start my own company three years ago,” says Russell.
Based in Liskeard in Cornwall, the company recently moved into a larger office space, with adjacent warehouse facilities and a shop area, which stocks pool and spa chemicals, cleaning equipment, a range of above ground pools and swimming accessories.
“My long term goal is to develop the domestic side of the business, particularly with the shop which has had a great response in its first year from local domestic customers who have purchased our quality chemicals and equipment at reasonable prices,” says Russell.
