The industry has bid a sad farewell to Brian Pritchard, a filtration engineer at Leicester-based Merlin Leisure Pools Ltd, who passed away in September.
Brian had worked for the company since 1998, and had continued to work throughout his three year battle with cancer. Michael Ames, director at Merlin Pools said: “Brian was a very competent engineer who paid attention to detail and he was known and liked by all the customers and premises officers at the schools he attended to. In the years which Brian worked for us he became a good friend and he will be sadly missed by us all.”
Brian’s funeral took place in September, when Merlin Pools closed for the day out of respect. Brian leaves behind a wife, two daughters and his only grandson Theo, aged 18 months.
