Celebrating a successful end to the year, the Pollet Pool Group team in conjunction with BAYROL welcomed customers and suppliers to its annual winter seminar in November.
Held in and around Newbury, the two-day event included the fourth BAYROL La Voie business seminar and dinner dance, and the fifth Pollet Pool Group winter seminar and race day, held at Newbury race course, featuring the Hennessy Gold Cup. The seminar was well-attended by over 50 PPG customers from 29 pool and spa companies across the country. Representatives from some of PPGâs key suppliers also attended the seminar, and presented their flagship products and latest innovations to the attentive audience.
Turnover at Pollet Pool Group has increased significantly since taking on the exclusive distribution of BAYROL at the beginning of 2013. Order input has increased fourfold and sales were up by 15 per cent in 2014, compared to the previous year.
Carl Porter, PPGâs divisional manager commented: âLast year was a successful year for PPG and BAYROL, with an everexpanding product range and consistently strong emphasis on customer service.
âWe greatly appreciate the ongoing support from our suppliers and customers, and our annual event in Newbury is a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation and reward our customers.â
An overview of BAYROLâs latest marketing strategy and corporate design was given by Bayrolâs popular marketing director Jurgen Koenig. Jurgen highlighted the interactive features of the BAYROL website, which now includes a private trade area exclusively for dealers and a search function for users looking to find their nearest dealer.
Nick Thorne, sales manager at Invertek went on to give an introduction to variable speed drive products, while Gino Matthys explained the different LED lighting options available from Propulsion Systems. Tom De Boiserie of T&A Covers outlined the benefits of the Aqua Guard and Aqua Top automatic safety covers, both of which are available through PPG.
The seminar was rounded off with a motivational talk by the star of BBCâs The Call Centre programme â Nev Wilshire, who began by asking the audience to join in a rendition of The Proclaimers âIâm Gonna Be (500 miles)â. Nev also offered his words of wisdom on improving sales techniques as he reminded the audience that âhappy people sellâ.
During the event, BAYROL and PPG also pledged a contribution of ïżĄ555.00 to Parkinsonâs UK following generous donations made by customers and suppliers. The charity was selected by Simon Bareham of Cresta Leisure, after winning a coin-toss contest.
