
The highly-anticipated reopening of The City Baths, Newcastle, is fast approaching and Fusion Lifestyle, the charity behind the redevelopment, has released a sneak preview of what the building’s stunning new health and fitness suite will look like. The ongoing restoration of the North East’s most-loved buildings restoration sees the Grade II historic gem revitalised to combine modern facilities – including a swimming pool, state-of-the- art fitness studios and a spa with treatment rooms. The regeneration work will see the Grade II listed building sensitively restored with many of the building’s original features retained. As well as the pool, Turkish Baths and spa there will be stunning, top quality fitness and wellbeing facilities.

The new 3D renders of the striking health and fitness suite showcase the ultimate workout space, complete with the latest cardiovascular equipment including running, rowing machines and indoor cycling bikes. Anthony Cawley, operations director at Fusion Lifestyle said: “We know how eager everyone is for The City Baths to reopen and we’re working incredibly hard to create something special that can be enjoyed by the people of Newcastle and surrounding areas. “We can’t wait for the day the doors reopen and we can show off the restoration first hand, but we now, this sneak peek shows what’s coming very soon.” From its refurbished pool, The City Baths will offer swim fitness sessions and swimming lessons that cater for adults as well as children – in either group or one to one scenarios. Memberships and prices have just been released and range from £30 to £81 and include everything from ‘gym and swim only’ to ‘Premium Anytime’ which includes unlimited use of the fitness suite, swimming pool and Turkish baths as well as unlimited group exercise classes.
