SPATA AND BISHTA WINNERS CONFIRMED

HOT TUB SUPPLIERS won a BISHTA Gold Award for Hot Tub Happiness.

The annual SPATA and BISHTA Trade Association Awards took place in February, presented by the umbrella organisation, the British Swimming Pool Federation during the company’s SPATEX exhibition at Coventry. In all, 13 companies appeared on the SPATA winners list.

The prestigious Dick Millward Trophy for SPATA Pool Contractor of the Year was won by Centurion Leisure with Portrait Pools winning the Peter Geekie Award for Retail Excellence. The Paul Kite Award for Pool Star of the Year was won by Tom Busby of Rockingham Swimming Pools.

Aqualia picked up the Outstanding Residential Pool of the Year Award and Buckingham Pools scooped the Outstanding Commercial Pool of the Year Award. On the BISHTA front, nine companies were recognised in the awards. Hot Tub Suppliers won the BISHTA Peter Newbery Award for UK Innovation to add to their Gold Award for Hot Tub Happiness.

CONCEPT SPAS took the honours in the Best Use Of Digital Media category.

Concept Spas romped home in the category for Best Use Of Digital Media and Hydropool Devon took the spot in the category for Spa In A Holiday Setting. USSPA was the overall winner in the category for Residential Hot Tubs between £7,000 and £14,000 SpaFlo took top honours in the section for Residential Hot Tubs Over £14,000 and took the top spot in the Exercise Spa/Pool category.

Hydropool Devon won the Gold Award for Hot Tubs Change Lives and 1 Stop Spas were awarded the Gold Award for Showroom of the Year. Chris Hayes, the Managing Director of SPATA and BISHTA, remarked: “This year’s entries superbly showcase the skilled projects undertaken by SPATA and BISHTA members.
