SPATEX Celebrate Being Sent To Coventry

footballstandAn upbeat SPATEX team is celebrating smashing through the significant mark of 75 per cent of stand space sold, with eight months still to go before the new look industry event. Being held for the first time at Coventry’s RICOH arena, SPATEX 2014, the pool and spa exhibition that raises vital funds for the promotion of the industry, will take place from Sunday to Tuesday February 2 to 4. As part of the show makeover, Tuesday February 4 is being promoted as a dedicated Leisure Operator’s Day. Commercial pool operators from local authorities, health clubs, hotels and holiday parks will be welcomed to the event on that day to meet experts from the pool and spa sectors. There will also be a special timetable of workshops and training to compliment the information being supplied by exhibitors themselves. “Since hosting the hugely successful SPATEX 2013, which everyone agreed saw the welcome return of the feel good factor, we’ve been putting together an even bigger and better successor – SPATEX 2014,” comments Michele Bridle, the show organiser. “We have been overwhelmed by the industry’s very positive response,” she adds. We have exceeded the 50th stand booking in a very short space of time. “What is even more pleasing is that the move to the Midlands based Ricoh Arena appears to be attracting new exhibitors and those that we had lost due to SPATEX having been based on the south coast. It’s an excellent start for 2014.” The centrally located Ricoh Arena, just 500 yards off the M6 and within two hours commuting time of 75 per cent of the population, offers purpose-built exhibition facilities. With free unlimited parking; special lifting rates and quick and easy unloading in the purpose-built Jaguar Exhibition Hall, it is the most accessible venue in the UK. Aside from bringing together all of the pool and spa industry’s leading companies, the Technical Workshop Programme, organised by the ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers), will focus on a wide range of current and highly relevant subjects, with an emphasis on saving money, energy and water. Networking and socialising is a vital part of the SPATEX mix. The SPATA and BISHTA Awards Gala Dinner will be held on Sunday February 2nd, in the dining room overlooking the impressive Coventry FC stadium. Entertainment will be provided throughout the three-day event and the on-site G casino (the UK’s largest and most luxurious), will doubtless provide a focus. Visitor registration is now open. Simply go to the SPATEX website to fill in the simple online form. You can also sign up for the regular SPATEX 2014 newsletters.
