Members of the Swimming Pool and Allied Trade Association celebrated as their 2016 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards were held at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry in January.
The big winners of the night were Cresta Leisure who won The Dick Millward Trophy for Pool Contactor of the Year on the back of two Gold, one Silver and two Bronze SPATA awards.
The Pool of the Year title went to a contemporary indoor pool project by David Hallam in partnership with Aqua-Blue Designs.
Surrey-based Tanby Pools were delighted to scoop seven SPATA awards including Pool Star of the year, which was won by Anita McArthur, and Oyster Pools & Leisure took home eight awards across BISHTA and SPATA including the Peter Geekie Award for Retail Excellence.
Chris Hayes, managing director of both SPATA and BISHTA, commented: “ We set a high standard for our judges from across both the pool and spa industry to score each entry on visual impression and technical merit. “This means that an award won at the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards is very well deserved, and ownership of at least one awards stands as a strong endorsement to consumers of the standard of work a winning company offers.”
He added: “Each year, the outstanding quality of submissions creates stiff competition. The high quality of the entries provides a fantastic opportunity for showcasing what our members can do for their customers and reinforces why it is so important to choose a BISHTA or SPATA member to turn a dream into a winning project.”
