SWIM SCHOOLS BOOM ACROSS UK

Fed up with the lack of pool access time, they launched Pool Time Pro last year to provide their own top quality pools for the growing number of swim school customers they are now teaching.
“We believe the swim school industry is growing at pace because schools are not taking responsibility for teaching children to swim,” says Pooltime Pro’s Gemma Dixon.
“Drowning is the third biggest cause of death amongst children, so parents see the necessity of learning to swim. Schools are not offered enough funding to provide this service,” she warns. The couple have built three pools for themselves, one inground and two above ground systems. Gemma explains: “We have currently opened our first pool for Pool Time Pro in Ferndown, this is being let out to a number of national swim schools as well as small local swim schools. We expect to have up to 1000 pupils per week going through the doors at each Pool Time Pro venue. At our local swim schools, we have 500 pupils per week. “We have classes being taught form our pools for newborn babies through to adults. We are highly regarded amongst the special needs community as we offer a quieter, warmer, calmer environment. We also have aqua aerobics, anti-natal swimming, photoshoots, private lessons and community swimming available. “Our plans for the future are big. We are talking with lots of swim schools around the country that need a pool in their area. “By building our own pools, not only are we helping our success but we are also supporting other businesses succeed.”
