Internet Voting Helps Decide Winners….

For the first time ever, on-line voting has played a major part in deciding the winners of the annual UK Pool & Spa Awards. Internet voters were able to play their part in finding the best in 12 varying award categories that recognise product, project and business excellence.

Run by the Pool & Spa Scene magazine, the UK’s leading water leisure publication, the annual UK Pool & Spa Awards, this year, for the first time, has been run in association with the UK Pool & Spa Expo.

β€œYou do not have to be affiliated to any trade organisations in order to take part, so this truly is the first opportunity, for the majority of water leisure companies in the UK, to be recognised in this way,” commented Pool & Spa Scene magazine publisher Christina Connor.

β€œBy partnering with the UK Pool & Spa Expo, Pool & Spa Scene magazine is delighted to give our annual award winners an even bigger platform to promote themselves, their products and services not to mention some outstanding projects,” Christina added.
β€œNot that these awards are just about the winners, but the entire water leisure industry, that stands to benefit from the publicity generated from these totally independent awards.”

INTERNATIONAL JURY

More than 50 companies were asked which pool and spa companies and products had stood out for them in 2012. This helped our independent jury create this year’s short-list of nominees. Verified e-mail votes counted towards 40% of the overall total with the other 60% being decided by the international Pool & Spa Awards jury. The presentation event was timed to coincide with the inaugural UK Pool & Spa Expo held at the NEC.
Winners were presented with certificates and trophies at an informal champagne reception followed by a buffet held in the Oasis Suite of the Crown Plaza hotel at the NEC on Thursday January 24. Winners automatically received marketing support to promote their win from the specialist promotional team at Waterland Media.
Nominations are already being gathered for the 2014 Pool & Spa Awards which promise to be the biggest event yet.
