The world’s first Cartoon Network Amazone waterpark has opened its doors to the public in Thailand. The only one of its kind, the waterpark features 30 state-of-theart water rides and slides, Cartoon Network entertainment shows, interactive water play elements and live mascots.
Located less than 20 minutes from Pattaya City, the waterpark is expected to attract a minimum of 1 million visitors per year.
The majority of the waterpark’s slides and attractions were supplied by Polin Pool Systems, along with a dual flowrider from , . The wave pool and lazy river equipment was supplied by Glasgowbased Murphy’s Waves and all the water filtration equipment was sourced from Neptune Benson.
Liakat Dhanji, chairman of Amazon Falls Co., the owner and developer of the park said: “What sets Cartoon Network Amazone apart from any waterpark in the world is that this is the new home away from home of Cartoon Network’s beloved heroes and is the only place where our fans can meet their favourite characters.
“We made a decision from day one that this park would be a ‘daycation’ destination – an attraction like no other in Thailand or in Asia. A place where music and live entertainment with Cartoon Network characters would be equally as important as the water attractions.”
