A stand-out refurbishment project wows the UK Pool & Spa Awards judges…
This dazzling refurbished indoor swimming pool, was finished with shimmering gold mosaic tiles proving that all that glitters is gold for the award-winning team at Progressive Pools. Based near Coventry, Progressive Pools has been designing, installing, refurbishment and servicing swimming pools in both residential and commercial sectors since 1971 and boast a long and established client database.
Progressive’s design brief was modern with the wow factor and the judges in the recent UK Pool & Spa Awards felt the team more than delivered, making it the winning pool in a hard-fought category for refurbishment of residential indoor pools. Progressive’s Carl Enticott, MISPE, explains: “The pool had lain dormant for several years as the clients found it dull and oppressive and were underwhelmed and lacked any motivation to enter the pool hall.”
WATER BLADE
Full removal of the dated pool and wall tiles was carried out. Internal steps were built in the shallow end. New internal steps and stainless-steel contemporary ladders and handrails were installed. The water feature was connected to the pool return line, operated by a remote controlled three-way motorised valve.

The design was complimented with stunning white porcelain tiles and detailing gold trim. Carl is pleased to report: “The pool owners are so happy now, that they use the pool several times a week especially at night when the effect is amazing.”
