The UK swimming pool and spa sectors celebrate their biggest night of the year, every year at the UK Pool & Spa Awards.

Returning for the ninth consecutive competition, the UK Pool & Spa Awards showcase the very best companies involved in the provision of water leisure in Great Britain. Building on its continued success, the event is set to be bigger and better with overwhelming demand boosting the number of award winning opportunities to 31 this year. Two new categories have been added; these are Health Club Pool of the Year and Luxury Pool of the Year. Several categories are set to be split between the pool and spa sectors and increase the number of award-winning opportunities.

OPEN TO ALL : The competition is open to swimming pool designers, installers, leisure operators, swim spa and hot tub manufacturers as well as wholesalers and retailers – regardless of trade association affiliation. Previous years have attracted interest from all over the UK and Eire, Europe and around the world with hundreds of entries submitted. Past award winners have said how much they value the competition as an opportunity to raise the profile of their company both inside the industry and most importantly to their target customers. Another added value service is that category winners will receive free PR and marketing support to publicise their win.

All short-listed competition entrants will also be able to use a special awards logo to help promote their success. “The added value from being involved in this sort of event is that it adds prestige to your company,” commented Christina Connor, of Waterland Media, the team behind the awards. “We got a call this week from a hot tub supplier who secured an outstanding hot tub contract for a millionaire client in the South of France purely on the back of the coverage he received from the awards,” she added. Those wishing to take part can now enter via the UK Pool & Spa Awards website. All entries must be submitted online by Monday September 4 and an entry fee of £30 plus VAT (£36 total) for each entry is payable via PayPal at time of entry submission. Competition entrants can either nominate their own company or another company or individual. All entries need to be accompanied by at least one, but ideally three, digital images at 300 dpi or more, which need to be uploaded with the entry form.

NETWORKING EVENT: This year’s awards presentation evening will once again return to The Vox Conference Centre within Resorts World on the Birmingham NEC site. The networking event will take place on Monday December 4th and will begin with a business networking style drinks reception, sponsored by water treatment specialists Lonza. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with all of the companies involved in sponsoring the competition – all helping to raise the profile of individual winners and the industry as a whole.
