New location but same winning formula for popular competition…
What better example of success breeding success than the annual UK Pool & Spa Awards which again hit record levels for 2022, the 12th year of the competition. A significant number of first-time entrants have thrown their hats into the contest ring, knowing that accreditation in the competition offers an unrivalled marketing boost to water leisure businesses. The familiar format for the presentation of the awards will be repeated this year but at a different venue as the organisers move a few miles down the road to the National Conference Centre in Birmingham for the very first time.
Just five minutes from Birmingham International Airport and within five minutes of 2,000 hotel beds, the National Conference Centre lies off Junction 6 of the M42 motorway, the Conference Centre enjoys unrivalled road links. VIP entrance to the National Motorcycle Centre is made available to attendees. The UK Pool & Spa Awards is the only competition of its kind that is open to the entire water leisure industry, regardless of trade association affiliation. The fundamental aim of the competition is to enable as many businesses as possible to reap promotional rewards.
Some categories such as Supplier of The Year and Special Achievement do not go out to public vote but are decided by the competition jury. Tickets are selling fast for the evening presentation on Thursday December 8th which begins with an informal networking opportunity. The event is made possible by the valuable support of the competition sponsors who are among the judges in their specific category and help present the awards on the night.
“The change of venue is giving us the opportunity to maximise the potential of getting together as an industry,” comments Christina Connor, Managing Director of Waterland Media, the competition organisers. “The event is not a black-tie do, on the contrary, we encourage people to promote their brands by wearing smart workwear to maximise the business marketing and networking potential,” she explains. “UK Pool & Spa Awards accreditation is not just an endorsement of individual companies but helps them attract new customers and vitally, secure more sales.
“The UK Pool & Spa Awards has earned itself a not-to-be-missed reputation as a unique opportunity for the industry to come together to compare notes but most importantly to celebrate well deserved success,” says Christina.
