Another record-breaking year for the industry’s top-ranking competition…
Tickets for the UK Pool & Spa Awards on Thursday December 7th are on sale now in what promises to be the biggest night in the event’s 13-year history. The event returns to the National Conference Centre in Birmingham with a unique blend of networking and business promotion with the outstanding Xmas party-themed celebrations.
Contestants will rub shoulders with the generous event sponsors as the evening opens with an informal networking reception, followed by dinner and the presentations before participants will be able to dance the night away to a top performing band.
Nearly 70 companies have submitted almost 250 entries to this year’s hard-fought competition, the only contest open to everyone in the water leisure sector, regardless of trade association affiliation. Categories for the Residential Pool section set new records with nearly 100 entrants, hotly pursued by the Business Awards division, followed by Commercial Pools and the Hot Tub classes.
The event will also see several national titles awarded such as Pool and Spa Supplier Of The Year as well as timely Special Achievement Award recognitions. More than 20 judges representing the event sponsors and industry specialists are involved as judges, while most of the awards are open to public votes that have a significant bearing on the overall results.
PUBLIC VOTES
Final adjudication is decided by the UK Pool & Spa Awards Jury who will have the task of awarding gold, silver and bronze award standards to each entry while deciding the overall winners. “The competition continues to live up to its original aims of promoting individuals, companies and organisations whose combined achievements boost the water leisure sector as a whole,” explains Christina Connor, Managing Director of Waterland Media, the competition organisers.
“Attracting many first-time entrants again this year, the competition provides an unrivalled marketing boost not just for the winners, but for all the companies that receive accreditation,” she says. “The event is very much a case of success breeding success for the businesses that get involved,” she adds.
“This year’s event coincides with a climate of economic uncertainty for many which has nevertheless seen many home pool specialists not just survive, but thrive riding a wave of interest in home wellness investment from chill tubs to saunas as well as core products like pools and hot tubs.”
