Proving that hard work, determination and resilience pays off, Lanarkshire-based BRS Pools are going from strength to strength, providing specialist pool design and construction services for clients in both the commercial and domestic sectors.
The driving force behind BRS Pools is managing director Barry Seymour, who has developed the business to become a serious contender within the ever increasingly competitive market. Barry comments: “We are very proud of our pool and spa services, which illustrate the quality of workmanship typical of a highly experienced team. A team which today boasts a wealth of expertise and a number of completed successful projects.”
Barry’s mother Margaret Seymour is also key member of the BRS sales team, whose knowledge and experience of the industry has proven to be an invaluable asset to the business. “We pride ourselves on being an innovative, forward thinking team,” says Barry. “This, combined with our many years of wet leisure experience, enables us to deliver a high quality service for all our clients.”
2014 is proving to be a busy year for BRS, with a host of domestic builds already under their belt and more scheduled to start throughout the summer and into autumn. The team are also currently working on a high profile multi-million pound commercial project at Portavardie Marina in the Scottish Highlands, in which a new leisure complex will be set on the banks of the harbour with views over Loch Fyne to Tarbet and Glenan Bay. The facility will include a large indoor and outdoor pool, a splash pool, one indoor and two outdoor overflow spas, as well as two saunas, a steam room and vitality pool.
Barry explains that his overall vision for the company is to ensure the high standards of engineering design and installation, which he believes are a hallmark for quality and reliability in the industry. He adds: “Much of the work of the past few years has come directly from word of mouth alone with little proactive marketing required. This is not to suggest we will rest on our laurels, that will never be the case, but it is an encouraging sign that our efforts are paying off.”
